USGA rules will govern all play except where local rules apply.

Preferred Lies: Any ball laying in the general area may be marked, cleaned, and replaced within 1 club length without going closer to the hole.

Girls will play from the GREEN/Marshalltown Trowel Tees.

Out of Bounds: Out of bounds is defined by white stakes and/or fence posts bordering the course and by fence or white stakes bordering the parking lot.

Maximum Score: Players may utilize “Circle 10” maximum score to speed pace of play. Abnormal Ground Condition: Any area of bare dirt from cart path removal or tree removal is considered “Abnormal Ground Condition”

Freshly Planted Sod and Areas Prepped for Sod: are considered “Abnormal Ground Condition”

Penalty Areas: are identified by red posts and paint.

There is a Drop area on Hole #6 for any tee shot on Hole #6 that ends up in the water. Players may proceed to other side of pond and add a penalty stroke to score.

Bunkers: are defined by their clean edges and are regularly maintained.

All other sandy areas are played as waste areas and are considered part of the “General Area”

Doubt as to Procedure: If you have any doubts to a procedure, please play a second ball as available through Rule 3-3. The Rules Committee will decide before your card is signed.

At the Conclusion of Play:

Scoring: The first player listed on the card is responsible for Golf Genius scoring. The next player listed may take over if needed. At the conclusion of play, all group members need to sign and turn in ONE card with all three group member signatures on it.

Flags will be awarded to the top 18 finishers. Ties will be broken using most difficult handicap holes.

Medals will be awarded to the top overall team

Elmwood Professionals Jay Giannetto/Tate Carlson will be available to serve as rules officials for any USGA rulings

Coaches’ Jury of Ames, DCG, and Grundy Center for any IGHSAU rulings
